Essex Cub Scouts Celebrating over 50 years!
1957-2008

The purpose of the Cub and Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910 and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build desirable qualities of character to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

Cub Scouts is a family and home centered part of the BSA program that helps develop ethical decision-making skills for boys in 1-6th grade. Activities emphasize character development, citizenship training and physical fitness. After Cub Scouts the young men cross over to Boy Scouts.
